Site Screening to Closure – Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne

We are excited to present the 2nd Workshop on Advanced Technologies for Integral Contaminated Land Management, featuring an even larger delegation of North American experts for 2024. Joining us are industry leaders Mike Mazzarese, George (Bud) Ivey, and Laurie Chilcote, along with local expert Jonás García-Rincón, Ph.D. This event is an unmissable opportunity for professionals focused on enhancing their skills in site assessment and remediation.

Thanks to sponsorship from Site Investigation Supply (SiS), this event is completely free, and we welcome consultants, regulators, auditors, and site owners to attend.

Featured Speakers:

Mike Mazzarese (AST Environmental, Inc.)
Mike is flying in from Colorado, USA, to share his expertise in using in-situ injection techniques for remediation projects. He will cover the application of carbon-based slurry amendments (BOS 200 & 100) and introduce FLUORO-SORB®, Australia’s latest technology for in-situ PFAS sequestration.

Jonás García-Rincón, Ph.D. (Legion Drilling)
With a PhD from CSIRO and a recent editor of a book on advanced site characterization and remediation technologies, Jonás will delve into the importance of multiphase mechanics in NAPL distribution. He will explore its implications for conventional investigations and in-situ remediation, presenting innovative solutions using real-time direct sensing technologies like MiHPT and UVOST.

George (Bud) Ivey (Ivey International)
Bringing over 35 years of experience, Bud will tackle how to resolve hydrogeochemical constraints for better remediation of petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and PFAS. He will introduce PFAS-SOL, a surfactant-based technology designed to remove PFAS from soil and groundwater.

Laurie Chilcote (Vapor Pin Enterprises, Inc.)
Laurie will present the Vapor Pin® sampling device, a revolutionary tool developed in 2011 for site characterization and vapor intrusion evaluations. She will share case studies showing how this technology has significantly improved the Conceptual Site Model (CSM), delivering faster and more successful outcomes at various contaminated sites.
