DRILLING IN OVERBURDEN AND LOOSE ROCK FORMATIONS

PWT Tubex is an overburden drilling system allowing for simultaneous drilling and casing in the following scenarios:

• Unstable formations, including loose rock systems.

• Overburden with stones and boulders.

• Land fill of varying compositions.

Tubex incorporates an eccentric reamer that drills a hole large enough for advancing the casing. Once competent bedrock is reached, the full system can be retracted inside the casing to switch to other drilling techniques. Wireline removal of the bit allows sampling.
