Geotechnical Rig Update - MCT450P

Numacs new Geotechnical rig looking right at home in the vastness of the South Australian outback

This highly capable truck mounted comacchio MCT450P geotechnical was commissioned in late January 2018. It's immediately proving a big hit with our clients combining great mobility and speed of operation.  

Numacs geotech rig operators have already taken HQ core and Mud rotary bores to over 230m with the new machine and all reports thus far the rig has performed exceptionally well. With many of our machines in a crawler configuration for limited access sites the unit provides a more efficient alternative when the bore locations are easily accessible.

Numacs fleet of Geo-technical rigs in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney have been for the most part targeting in sub 100m depths. The MCT450p will push this capacity into 250+m range for HQ & NQ diamond coring.

The rig comes fully decked out with automatic SPT hammer, mine compliant safety accessories and high capacity bean pump.
