CPTu & Inclinometer Installation from barge in Southern QLD canals.

Barge Drilling in Raby Bay Canals Brisbane.

No super-yachts were harmed in the making of this video!

This was a challenging geotechnical investigation, requiring careful manoeuvring around millions of dollars’ worth of luxury watercraft at Raby Bay, Queensland. In collaboration with Atoll Logistics, Legion Drilling conducted a geotechnical investigation, which involved accessing the canal rock walls. To tackle this unique setup, we engineered custom ramps for safe barge access for our Geoprobe CPTu rig and geotechnical drilling rigs for inclinometer installations. With high tide windows, public safety, and elevated access all in play, the team had to stay sharp. Kudos to the Legion Drilling crew for successfully completing another demanding project!
